Husband and wife duo, MILO, was conceived when Indiana rock musician, Drew McGuire, and Colorado, singer-songwriter, Kelsey McGuire, formerly Kelsey Faludy, decided to discover what kind of music they could create when they combined their different styles. The result of this uncommon pairing was a distinct sound that captured, and was enhanced by, each of their strengths.
Kelsey pursued advancing her voice and songwriting at Berklee College of Music . Drew, and his passion for hard-hitting production, studied music at Columbia College Chicago. Together they work to make songs that are as musically detailed as they are lyrically compelling.
MILO released their first album, Amalgamate, in early 2015. Titled to represent the converging of their musical styles. Amalgamate showcases this blending through an array of songs that subtly spans multiple genres. It is this ebbing and flowing of their different influences that makes the songs appealing to a wide range of tastes.
In 2016, Drew and Kelsey got married and also began work on their sophomore album, Predator and the Prey, which released in 2018.
With the addition of 2 new, full time band members, MILO started on their new album in late 2019. A fresh, modern take on Pop/Rock is set to release in 2020. The new album is called, A Wicked Repertoire.
